Guy Outen was School Captain of Trinity in 1978. He was involved in many aspects of school life, especially sport. Indeed, as a Year 10 student he was chosen for the First XVIII Football team that won a premiership in 1976 (the last one before a long drought that was finally broken in 2012). Upon leaving Trinity, Guy completed a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Commerce and then a Master’s in Economics. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia.
As Executive Vice-President of Shell International, Guy is responsible for Strategy, Portfolio and Planning, supporting the CEO and Board of Royal Dutch Shell plc, one of the world’s largest enterprises. He has worked in various commercial, new business and finance roles across all parts of Shell’s business with responsibilities at various times including for LNG, commercial, new business development, audit and various CFO roles.
He has travelled extensively, working with a wide range of senior stakeholders across all continents and has been a member of many Boards and joint venture committees. Guy is a regular speaker on energy industry matters. Despite working in Sydney, Perth, London and The Hague (where he currently resides), Guy still maintains his passion for Australia and Trinity!
